The LumeGen system imparts mechanical pulsatile pressure to a 3D sample. TGT's patented technology. Applications include investigating cell function, modulating the growth and development of engineered tissues, or acting as a test bed for drug and regenerative medicine technologies. The LumeGen's patented technology, US Patent # 7348175, employs pressure control to deliver user defined pressure wave forms of physiological magnitude. It is integrated with a computer controlled mean flow pump and is capable of low or high-flow configurations. TGT customers are currently utilizing these systems in a wide range of research areas including:
Systems range from compact, single chamber systems to versatile and powerful six chamber systems.
1V LumeGen Bioreactor
The 1V system has been designed as a simple bioreactor system that is able to support a wide range of basic pulsatile pressure and shear stress cell and tissue growth experiments via user defined stimulation protocols. This allows the possibility of adding optional features (transducers, non-contact micrometers, pressure sensors, etc.) and modules to customize the tool to specific needs.
6Vc LumeGen Bioreactor
The LumeGen 6Vc Vascular System integrates the necessary bioreactor components into a compact and manageable system. The 6Vc compact design fits easily into a standard incubator and can be autoclaved fully assembled. The versatile chamber configuration provides individual flow loops to each sample.
